this was grandma ginger at thanksgiving, watching some desperate housewives on her ipad between courses. the next day she ended up in the hospital after a nasty fall. over the weekend my dad held vigil and my aunt flew up from ‘bama; they thought grandma g was on her way out.

but no. she’s in a back brace now, managing the pain and moving to a different care center. she’ll be back to watching her ladiez in no time.

she is 96 years old and clearly holding out for her 100th birthday. or at least the season finale.
