I remember studying this poem in freshmen comps.

so much depends
upon

a red wheel
barrow

glazed with rain
water

beside the white
chickens.

i have to write an essay on WCW in the very near future (as in, i should have done it yesterday) for my intro to poetry class, and this will be one of the poems i’ll work on.
