Recently the fourth and fifth classes prepared for a concert, searching out dresses and tiaras in the wonder box rooms of the costume department. It is part of a regular program of concerts, meant to accustomize the students to performing on the big stage, in particular, preparation for dancing in the Mariinsky. Every classroom floor has the exact degree of slope as the stage of the Mariinsky theatre.
Ballet at the Vaganova from the New York Times (lovely slideshow of photographs).
